Open Source · Analytics

Website analytics that tells you where the money comes from.

A free, open-source, privacy-first alternative to paid analytics, with revenue attribution built in.

Illustration of the OpenAnalytics revenue dashboard: visitors, revenue and conversion KPIs, a first-touch vs last-touch revenue chart, and top sources by revenue

Outcomes

  • Exact first-touch and last-touch revenue attribution, recorded at the moment of each sale
  • No cookies, no stored IPs and daily-rotating visitor hashes, so most sites need no consent banner
  • A ~1.9 KB tracker with copy-paste installs for Next.js, React, Vue, SvelteKit, WordPress, Shopify and more
  • Twelve dashboard views, including funnels, goals, SEO, real-time and a built-in AI Analyst

The problem

Most analytics tools show pageviews but can’t say which channel actually brings in paying customers. The ones that can are expensive, cookie-heavy and send your data to someone else.

What I built

A Next.js app on Postgres/Supabase. A tiny cookieless tracker posts events to an ingest endpoint that hashes the IP, filters bots, rate-limits and de-duplicates, then calls one transactional Postgres function that stitches sessions and writes revenue to both the session and the visitor. Multi-site accounts are isolated by row-level security in the database itself, with no service-role key. The dashboard adds a ⌘K command palette, CSV export on every table, and dark and light themes verified to WCAG 2.1 AA.

Built with

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Postgres
  • Supabase
  • Row-Level Security
  • Tailwind CSS
